Jesus spoke the truth to many people who then became offended, angry, annoyed, suspicious. Luke 4:28 "This made the people angry. They took Jesus to the top of a hill and wanted to throw Him off it." Those people didn't feel "valued" or "loved". They felt completely furious and 100% willing to kill him immediately.
